Welcome to "The Neurosober Newsletter"
A Welcome Message
Welcome all who have ventured here!
“The Neurosober Newsletter” helps you get and stay sober using neuroscience-backed tools and techniques. Every week, you’ll receive practical insights, brain-based strategies, and simple actions to help you overcome cravings, building lasting habits, and create a sober life you genuinely love - no BS, just science-driven sobriety.
As for me, my name is Alex Garner and I’m a Sober Life Coach. I struggled with addiction for more than 17 years ending up homeless in Chicago, IL for over a year and a half. Throughout my 5 bouts at rehabs, and 4 times through the AA steps, I found myself able to get sober, but not stay sober for the long haul. I needed something more than what the traditional ways were giving me. I needed science.
That’s when I discovered Neuroscience and met a lovely Neuroscientist named Priya. Priya has studied the affects of alcohol on the brain (specifically pre-natal) and together we talked about a new way to get sober.
After going to Jay Shetty’s Certification School and a Neuroscience Life Coaching School, I was certified, accredited, and ready to help. That’s when I started helping people, just over 2 years ago. Since then, I’ve helped more than 45 people get and stay sober with a 87% success rate. This stuff works… but you have to believe in it.
I’ve found that it’s easier to believe in when there’s science backing it up. So, I’ve gone the extra mile to make sure all of my tools and techniques are backed by neuroscience and follow how the brain operates and functions. Every tool, every technique is carefully orchestrated to help re-wire your brain for sobriety. I’ve helped high-performers, and I’ve helped people who have lost everything. This way works… but you have to work it.
Back to the reason why I want to do this newsletter… It’s for the people that are sober-curious. Curious about what their life might be like without alcohol. Curious about how this can help them reach their next level of potential. Because after quitting drinking, everything gets better, no doubt.
Subscribe and get notified when I write a new entry! Spread the word! Let’s make this an awesome community of sober people who are living their best lives!
Thanks,
Alex
